Where are we heading ?انسان به کجا می رود؟؟تناقض های زندگی

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; We've added years to life, not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less; we plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes, but, lower morals.
We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are the days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. Where are we heading ....?.........
So what is the morale of the story????

And was it ever thus Fatemeh? Are we that much worse today than a generation ago? I am not sure how old you are and I suspect I am older than you. But if you go back to my parent's generation, when the Shah was in power in Iran and Nixon in America, when the world almost cosumed itself in nuclear war. Were those better days? Maybe. I am not altogether sure.

Hello William,
To me, really those days of peace and quiet do not exist.Todays' Labor- saving devices have never been able to bring tranquility to life. I don't blame technology since I myself cannot imagine a world without these advances; However, what makes me worried in this regard is that so much restlessness and anxiety among people are observed. We are approaching the time when everybody is busy with his own affairs and nobody cares about his neighbors' problems. Our religion has taught us to live a life full of happiness and calm but for all the people. It tries to bring about humans who care about others. In such a society full of attention and cooperation and sympathy there wouldn't be so much poverty and injustice like we see today.Moral values among some families are fading. This is the case in western countries, too. Spirituality is the West's "lost".Trying to solve the technology problems with technology can not be a complete solution. I reckon technology for the benefit of all humans and not at the expense of morality and humans is accepted. So much massacre, aggression, and injustice in different parts of the world with the most developed technology and powerful governments reveal that machine is not for people but against them.

zoh Tajvidi:These are true about all of us. I think durig a day we don’t think about our behavior and the things happen around us truly. This is very sadening .when a new day begins we always seem very busy. We are in hurry to doing the works, the daily acts.and not having enough time to think . It’s a reality that we almost don’t think about ourselves and our purpose of life. sometimes when I look at the skyat night I realize that my behavior in the life is so funny.

we've had a lot success in our technology and are still moving forward , we make a lot of progress every day. we are advanced in many majors of science but our technology layers . the only way to have a true progress is to make our souls free.
